Work With Schools

Lindenfarb has been working with local schools since 2003 and is involved in many activities. In addition to the company’s own Team Spirit Trophy competition and existing partnerships, there are various programmes aimed at supporting school education. The focus of all activities is providing secondary school students with assistance in finding their passion.

Lindenfarb participates in the annual trainees’ fair in Aalen and gives school presentations about various occupations. The company also runs factory tours for secondary school students.

In 2010 the company organised a practical day for teachers, in cooperation with the Local Education Authority in Göppingen, for the first time. During the day teachers were given theoretical information and practical demonstrations about apprenticeships and other training opportunities at the company.

Chamber of Trade and Commerce Projects

Lindenfarb’s managing director, Dr Nickel, has been taking part in the Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s project “Chef als Lehrer” (“Boss as Teacher”) since 2009. The project involves company managing directors spending some of their time teaching in local schools. The focus of these lessons is on the opportunities offered by apprenticeships, what companies expect in this regard and tips for applying for jobs.
